Red Earth Youth Entries and Winner
Four students in this program entered baskets in the Red Earth youth competition. Students who entered a basket are Muscogee (Creek) Nation members Courtney Brooke Hess, Amanda Brooke Yeatman, Skyler Nicole Surber and Dakota Wolf Evans. Congratulations to Courtney Hess who won honorable mention for her entry. Her teachers for this class basket were Wahleah Walker and Denise Hoff.
Sand Springs ONABA Youth Teachers
These students and others have attended several classes conducted by ONABA volunteer members, including Jo Ann Miller, Wahleah Walker, Carol Parsons, Peggy Brennan, Aaron Parsons, and Denise Hoff. Barbara Hair contributed many basket starts along with Jo Ann, Wahleah and Denise.

Honoring Our Youth
Sand Springs Indian Education Program
Sand Springs Indian Education held a dinner and awards ceremony April 21, 2006, in Sand Springs, OK. The program recognized the accomplishments of the Indian youth in Sand Springs. Entertainment was by the All Tribes Community Church Dance Troupe.
First Youth Basket Exhibit
The participants had their baskets beautifully displayed at the Sand Springs awards ceremony.
Thanks For Supporters
Susanne Sanders (Muscogee Creek/Seminole) is the Director of Indian Education and is responsible for coordinating with ONABA the basketry classes. The parent committee requested that Peggy Brennan hand out the certificates to the students. Thanks go to the Program Assistant, Alice Kemp, who prepared beautiful individual student certificates with the ONABA logo.

ONABA volunteers were invited to the dinner. Carol Parsons and Aaron Parsons attended the program with Peggy who handed certificates to the following youth in the Sand Springs school: Haley Strong and Kameron Morris, Courtney Brooke Hess, Amanda Brooke Yeatman, Skyler Nicole Surber and Dakota Wolf Evans.
